Who we are

App.Deals ("we", "us") operates the website at app.deals. To contact us about privacy, use the contact form and choose "Privacy request".

Information you give us

When you submit a form (deal alerts, contact, deal submissions, sponsorship inquiries, contest entries, job applications or support pledges), we receive the details you enter, the page you sent it from and the time. Form submissions are delivered to our inbox through a third-party form relay service (FormSubmit), which processes the data to deliver it. We use these details only to respond, send the alerts you requested, run contests and manage the relationship you asked for.

Information stored in your browser

Your theme choice, cookie choice, saved deals, subscription audit and price watchlist are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device unless you choose to send them to us through a form. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites, and to measure ads. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

When you first visit, we ask whether you accept personalised ads. If you choose "non-personalised ads only", we ask Google to serve non-personalised ads. Visitors in regions that require it may also see a consent message provided by Google.

Embedded videos and fonts

Videos are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and load only when you press play. At that point YouTube (Google) may set cookies under its own privacy policy. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Our host may process technical data such as IP addresses in server logs for security and reliability.

How long we keep data

Messages and submissions are kept as long as needed to handle them and for up to 24 months afterwards. Alert subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Job applications are kept for up to 12 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or state privacy laws in the US), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Make a request through the contact form. We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the Google advertising described above.

Children

App.Deals is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Contests are open only to adults.

Changes

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top.
